APIClarity: Il wireshark per le API
About
Le applicazioni di nuova generazione, specie quelle Cloud Native, interagiscono fra loro tramite API REST. Per facilitarne l’utilizzo e valutarne i rischi di sicurezza, è fondamentale definire in maniera formale tali API. OpenAPI è lo standard di fatto a questo scopo, tuttavia molte applicazioni non ne fanno uso.
In questa sessione, presenteremo APIClarity (https://apiclarity.io) un progetto open source creato da Cisco, capace, quando installato in un ambiente Kubernetes, di catturare tutte le API utilizzate, produrre automaticamente le specifiche OpenAPI e monitorarne l’evoluzione nel tempo.

Alessandro Duminuco is a Principal Engineer in Cisco, member of Emerging Technology and Incubation group.
Before Cisco, he worked for Bell Labs, and Accenture.
He joined Cisco in 2012 and he has been working as engineering lead for various innovation projects and internal startups: Mobile networking virtualization, Cloud-based professional media production, SASE and SD-WAN and others.
He is now leading one of the engineering teams in the AppSec venture. He focuses on API Security for Cisco SecureCN, a service covering all security aspects of cloud native application development.
