About

Mary Grygleski delivered the talk “Reactive for the Impatient” at the Codemotion Rome 2019 conference. We interviewed Mary, asking her the following questions: why do you need ‘reactivity’ in Java and what does it take to start reactive programming? What are the differences between writing code in a Reactive Programming style and Design Reactive System? What are the benefits and the challenges that reactive has when it comes to microservices? You have worked in software programming since 1989. What has changed and how do you keep your know-how up to date?
