La filosofia Open Source (OSS) ha "vinto" e "perso" allo stesso tempo. Non vi è azienda al mondo che non utilizzi componenti OSS per creare i propri prodotti. La disponibilità del codice OSS ha reso semplice il lavoro di malintenzionati - è facile scoprire vulnerabilità, ed è facile usarle per violare la sicurezza di sistemi. Potremmo pensare che le aziende vogliano investire in sicurezza dei prodotti Open Source che utilizzano… eppure i maintainer di queste librerie non ricevono alcuna ricompensa per risolvere le vulnerabilità. Come risolviamo questo conundrum?
