Frontend tests have been evolving at a much faster speed than the backend counterpart. The evolution happens to solve a number of pain points in frontend development.
After working as a full-stack developer and seeing the evolution of tests on the frontend, I tried to apply the test trophy principle to backend tests. I will share why I did that, what the results are, and whether or not the test trophy is a good testing strategy for backend systems.
